Some days remind us why we do what we do, today was one of those days. It was filled with moments of peace, connection, and alignment that underscored the importance of starting with intention and staying open to possibilities.
Starting with Purpose
My day began with a grounding moment, listening to a Bible in a Year podcast. That moment of stillness carried into a peaceful yoga class, both of which helped me set a positive and focused tone for the day. Starting with intention makes all the difference in how we show up for what’s next.
Meaningful Conversations
Later in the morning, I made what could have been a routine call, only to find myself in an amazing conversation with a woman named Brianna. I shared with her my book, Brianna’s Brave Day at School, which she purchased on the spot! She also shared that she’s currently on her adoption journey, hoping to adopt her son within the year. It was a powerful exchange that reminded me how sharing our work can create unexpected and meaningful connections.
Reigniting Opportunities
In the afternoon, I visited a local baby store where I had previously dropped off some products from SoulFilling. Although I hadn’t heard back, the timing was finally right, today the manager was working. We had a wonderful conversation about my products and book, and she expressed interest in carrying them in the store. We also connected over her experiences with infertility and adoption stories in her life. It was a beautiful reminder to trust the timing of things and stay open to opportunities.
Reflections and Lessons
This day reaffirmed the value of:
Starting with intention: Grounding your day in peace and purpose prepares you for meaningful moments.
Being open to possibility: Routine interactions can transform into significant opportunities if you’re willing to share your story and mission.
Believing in your mission: When you’re aligned with your purpose, the right connections and opportunities often find their way to you.
