REGISTRATION OPEN: "Adoption Conversation: A Guide to History, Insight, and Mindset" Course Offered at SUNY Schenectady in November!

I’m excited to share that SUNY Schenectady has asked me to teach, from my lived experience, an enriching online course, called Adoption Conversation: A Guide to History, Insight, and Mindset. It is designed to broaden perspectives and bring the conversation of adoption into the hearts of our communities, homes and schools.

Students in this online course will explore the evolution of adoption and begin to understand key concepts such as types of adoption, essential terms, processes, and dispel common misconceptions and stereotypes. Topics also include the emotional and psychological dynamics of adoption, the trend of open adoptions, and strategies to make adoption a mainstream topic at home and in the community. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the knowledge and tools to contribute positively to the adoption conversation and support those involved in the adoption process.

This course is more than just a learning experience; it’s an opportunity to be part of a movement. Whether you’re directly impacted by adoption, a professional in the field, an educator, or simply curious about the topic of adoption, this course is for you.
